Born in Scranton, PA, on May 2, 1945, he was a son of the late Walter Joseph and Cecelia Jane (Bonk) Myslewicz. One of Wally’s most memorable acts of service was when he successfully helped save a woman who had called the pharmacy with a question from committing suicide. He was given an award by the Delaware State Police for helping save the woman’s life.
Most of all, Wally loved spending time with his wife, JoyceAnn. Together, they enjoyed bowling trips and a 6-week road trip, traveling across the United States. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada.
In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by his wife, JoyceAnn (Yondura) Myslewicz; uncle, Edward Myslewicz; aunt, Marg Myslewicz; and brothers-in-law, Kevin Hartnett and Steven Middleton. My condolences to Wadjus family. I was born next door to him, Carolann and Rosie in Scranton. The Myslewiczs and the Kruk’s were friends for many years. We all grew up together. I will always cherish the Indian beaded necklace that Wadzu brought for me from his Boy Scout Jubillee out west. It’s over 70 years old now. I look at it and think of him every time. Rest in Peace now dear neighbor Wadzu. ! 💕💫

I’m so sorry to come across the news of Walt’s passing. He took care of my family and myself when he was a pharmacist at Eckerd’s then to Happy Harry’s/Walgreens. I moved away from the area a while back and used another pharmacy but would always swing through to Walgreens when I was in the neighborhood to holler a “Hi”. He had an encouraging vibe and was kind, it meant a lot to me that he cared. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He was one of the good guys! <3
