William C. Linhoff, Sr.

Bill Mr. William C. Bill Linhoff, Sr., age 51, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Christiana Hospital while surrounded by his beloved family.

Born on June 22, 1959, in Wilmington, DE, Bill was the son of Arthur L. and Geraldine P. Linhoff. He was employed for 19 years with the DuPont-Vespel Plant in Newark, DE as an operator. A man of many hobbies, Bill spent his leisure hours gardening, crabbing, building campfires, and driving and working on his Chevy truck. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Most of all, Bill looked forward to summers spent at his home in Gulls Way in Bethany Beach, DE.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Arthur L. Linhoff. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine P. Linhoff; daughter, Jennifer M. Linhoff of Newark, DE; son, William C. Billy Linhoff, Jr. of Newark, DE; brother, David A. Linhoff and wife, Betsy of Bear, DE; sister, Robin L. Evick and husband, Bob of North East, MD; grandson, Joshua C. Linhoff; nieces, Sandra A. Smith, and husband, Matthew of Middletown, DE, and Alyssa K. and Amber L. Evick of North East, MD; nephew, Richard A. Linhoff of Smyrna, DE; great nieces and nephew, Katelyn A., Allison E., and Craig M. Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
