William Francis “Skip” Nutter III
April 11, 1976 - February 15, 2021
William Francis “Skip” Nutter III, age 44, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021.
Born in Wilmington, DE on April 11, 1976, he was the son of Patricia Blair; Bruce Blair and the late William Nutter, Jr. Skip made his career as an Operations Manager for Allied Properties. He was a 29-year member of Holloway Terrace Fire Company in New Castle, DE, where he joined as a Junior Firefighter on September 17, 1991. Since then, Skip held the offices of Junior Firefighters President, Fire Recorder, 1st Lieutenant of Rescue, 3rd Assistant Engineer and Chief Engineer. He also served on various committees, and was a Master Mason of St. John’s Lodge #2 as well as a long-time member and Past President of the Police Fire Rod and Gun Club, both of New Castle, DE.
In addition to his father, Skip was preceded in death by his first wife, Rhonda Nutter and grandparents, Ruth and William Nutter, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his dear wife, Stephanie Nutter; sons, Steven, Shane and Seth Fagles; sister, Laura Rosso (Chris); niece, Tori Maxwell; nephew, Carson Rosso; a great niece; and a great nephew.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Holloway Terrace Fire Company, 700 West Avenue, New Castle, DE and from 8:30 am until 9:30 am on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Holloway Terrace Fire Company, followed by a funeral service at 9:30 am. Interment will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, 521 Harmony Street, New Castle, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Skip’s memory to The Fagles Education Fund, c/o Joann DellAversano, 2370 Red Lion Road, Bear, DE 19701.
