William John Perry

July 5, 1963 - November 13, 2024

William John Perry, affectionately known as “Will”, “Wilbur”, or “7 of 9” to his friends and loved ones, passed away on November 13, 2024, in New Castle, DE, at the age of 61.

Born on July 5, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the cherished son of Dorothy A. (Sentak) Perry and the late Robert Morris Perry.

Will dedicated much of his professional life to ensuring everything ran smoothly as a building engineer at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where his work was marked by precision and care. Beyond his career, he was a man of many passions and talents. Whether casting a line during a fishing trip, filling the air with music, stewing up seafood chowder, cookies and beef jerky on the holidays, or outwitting friends and family in a spirited game of Trivial Pursuit, Will’s zest for life shone brightly. His sense of humor and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy A. Perry; his siblings, Dorothy Zelenik, Patricia Florek, Valerie F. Perry, James E. Perry, John J. Perry, and Lisa J. DeAngelis; as well as his nephew, Joseph T. Florek; and niece, Pia Zelenik. Will was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morris Perry; his brother, Robert Michael Perry; and his sister, Susan Perry MacLean.

A memorial service to honor Will’s life will be announced at a later date. In keeping with his generous spirit, the family requests donations to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
