William Philip Fentzloff

Mr. William Philip Fentzloff, retired educator, age 69, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
Born in Bloomfield, NJ, on September 22, 1943, Mr. Fentzloff was the son of the late William Otto Fentzloff and Elizabeth Etta Snowcroft Fentzloff. He received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his master’s degree from the University of Delaware. A gifted teacher, he spent much of his career teaching mathematics to high school students in Bridgeville, Seaford, Mt. Pleasant, and Newark, DE. The loves of his life were his daughters, his wife, and his two Welsh Terriers. Other passions included golf, coaching basketball and football, summers in Stone Harbor, collecting antiques, solving Sudoku puzzles, driving Porsches, and feeling the wind in his hair.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Graves Fentzloff; his daughters, Cary K. Fentzloff of Newark, and Megan G. Fentzloff and her husband, Andrew J. Dahlgren, of Omaha, NE.
A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove, Williamsburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. James’ Episcopal Church, Rector’s Discretionary Fund, Mill Creek Hundred, 2106 St. James Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
