Arlene F. Chisenhall, age 75, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2017.
A native Delawarean, Arlene was born in Wilmington on September 21, 1941, and was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Newcomb) Curlett. She worked for many years as the manager of the former Tremont Motel in New Castle. Arlene adored her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Eugene Chisenhall, Sr.; son, Marvin E. Chisenhall, Jr.; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters. Arlene is survived by her children, Dianna Allen (Rob), Brenda Jodoin (Kevin), Steve Chisenhall and Joyce Burgess; brother, Wayne Curlett; sister, Celine Wagner; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE, where a funeral service will be held at at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Delaware City, DE.

My thoughts and prayers to the family of Arlene. Her and I were friends for many years as i watched her children grow up. She was a great woman with a big heart. She will be surely missed. In our hearts and prayers always, God bless her family. God give them the strength they need at this trying time in their lives. Know that i love yall and am here for yall.
