Betty L. O’Neill

Betty L. O’Neill, age 85, of Delaware City, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
Born in Virginia, on March 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Hazel (Kessler) McMullin. Betty dedicated her life as a talented and loving homemaker. She treasured her family and was an animal lover, especially her French bulldog, Daisy.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Bryen O’Neill and granddaughter, Heather Stamper. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert W. O’Neill; children, Charles O’Neill (Debbie) of Newark, Mary Stamper of Delaware City, Stephanie Hall (Terry) of Wilmington, Hilton O’Neill (Blanche) of New Castle, Hazel McCoy (Greg) of Charles City, VA; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
Funeral services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.
