Christine M. Pyle

Christine M. Pyle, age 78, of Mojave Valley, AZ and formerly of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2016.

Born in Poe, WV on Independence Day, 1937, Christine was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lottie (Wilson) Mullins. She worked as a school bus attendant for the Christiana School District, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Christine will be remembered as the most caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother a family could ask for.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Phillip W. Pyle, who died in 2008. She is survived by her daughters, Edith Williams and her husband, Vince and Penny McSwain; sisters, Edith Lowry and her husband, George and Francis Gray; grandson, Allen W. McSwain; and great grandchild, Riley McSwain.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning, January 9, 2016, at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
