Donald Curlett, Sr.

Mr. Donald Curlett, Sr., age 62, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Mr. Curlett was born in Wilmington on May 26, 1951, son of the late John and Helen (Newcomb) Curlett. He made his career as a commercial waterman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Kyle Curlett; sons, John, Weston, Duane, and Mark; brothers, Johnny and Wayne; sisters, Arlene and Celine; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Donny and Randy; three sisters; and three brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in New St. Paul’s Cemetery, Delaware City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Curlett may be made to the Maryland Watermen’s Association, 1805A Virginia Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
