Donovan Joseph Kendus, age 16, of Newark, DE and Alberta, VA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 13, 2019.

Born in Newark, DE on March 10, 2002, Donovan was the son of Karen (Figgatt) Kendus and Brian J. Kendus. He was a junior at Dinwiddie High School in Dinwiddie, VA.

Spending time in Delaware and Virginia, Donovan lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, playing football, visiting the beach, playing PlayStation, and rocking out to his iTunes playlist. As a true fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Donovan loved watching games with his family and was elated to see the Birds win it all in 2018.

Donovan is survived by his mother, Karen (Figgatt) Kendus and her fiancé Timothy Anderson; his father, Brian J. Kendus and his fiancée Kaitlyn Ritter; sisters Karly Cavanaugh and Skylar Kendus; grandparents Don and MaryJo Figgatt, E. Joseph and Bonnie Kendus, and Cheryl and Curtis Mitchell; aunts and uncles Brian and Shante Figgatt, Brad and Jill (Kendus) Gregory, Steven and Cecilia Kendus, and David and April Renn; and cousins Harrison and Josephine Figgatt, Justin and Brynleigh Figgatt, Lincoln Gregory, Dominique and Gabriella Kendus, and Isabella, Logan, and Matthew Renn. Donovan is also survived by his girlfriend Hannah.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until noon on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Pkwy., New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at noon. Interment will be held privately.
