Helen M. Sheeler

Helen M. Sheeler, age 97, of Wilmington, DE, and formerly of Eddystone, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.
Born in Holmes, PA on August 3, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Daisy (Bleu) Hughes. Helen was a talented homemaker who devoted herself to caring for her family including her mother and brother, Joe, whom she tended to their entire lives. Helen adored animals of all kinds, but especially loved dogs.
In addition
to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer J. Sheeler. Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Clifton (Jerry); grandchildren, Wesley Shaffer and Jennifer K. Buckingham (Chris); and great grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, and Jillian Buckingham, all of Newark. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:00 am on Monday morning, June 19, 2017 at Holy Family R.C. Church, East Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE,where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Chester Rural Cemetery,412 W. 15th Street, Chester, PA 19013.
