Kim Joseph Angotti

October 2, 1956 - August 3, 2018


After a long battle with late onset multiple sclerosis, Kim Joseph Angotti, age 61, of Newark, DE, joined his father in Heaven on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Born in Rapid City, South Dakota on October 2, 1956, he was the son of the late Joseph Angotti, Jr. and Lena V. (DeProspero) Angotti. Kim graduated from St. Marks High School and Widener University’s Paralegal Certificate Program.

He was the first consumer representative and an advocate for Delaware’s National Alliance for the Mentally Ill Consumer Coalition. Kim was a member of the Delaware City Jaycees and First State Writers Club. He was an avid reader and aspiring writer of poetry and fiction novels.

Kim was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Angotti, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Lena V. Angotti; sisters, Melanie Angotti and Jolene A. Outten (John); and nephews, Aaron and Zachary Outten.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE, 19713, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 pm, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.

  • I was sorry to hear about Kim’s demise. He was a good friend in high school as well as college, but I moved away and lost touch with him. I was hoping to meet him at a class reunion. All I can say is I will miss his good humor and keen mind, and also, go out and meet your old friends now.

    The unfortunate news of Kim came to me just a few moments ago and I am deeply saddened. So very sorry I did not know before now as I surely would have been present for Kim’s farewell. The video is lovely and brought back many memories. May Kim rest in our Loving God’s eternal Peace and may your family be comforted by our prayers. You surely have wonderful remembrances of a fine son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
