Leonard T. Riccio, age 83, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on October 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Mabel Riccio. Leonard dedicated his career with DuPont in the shipping department and retired after many years.

He enjoyed visits to the beach and photography. Leonard loved spending time with his family at gatherings and will always be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; son, Thomas; and sister, Helen. Leonard is survived by his daughters, Donna Morris (Dave) of New Castle and Monica Stong (Steven) of Bear; grandchildren, Joseph, Bradley, Thomas, Brandon and Kaitlin; great grandchildren, Anthony, Thomas and Ryan; and best friend of 45 years, Rene Junca, whom he worked with for years.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leonard’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
