Matibeth Parnell Hill

Matibeth Parnell Hill, age 94, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
Born in Meridian, MS on January 9, 1923, she was a daughter of the late A.C. and Kizzy Katie (Hardy) Parnell. Matibeth made her career as a certified secretary with Tennessee Valley Authority in Chattanooga, TN, retiring at the age of 82.
In her leisure time, Matibeth enjoyed sewing and was an avid bridge player. She took a lot of pride in her work as a woman in the workplace.
In addition to her parents, Matibeth is preceded in death by her husband, Donal R. Hill and her two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Marc) Vazquez and grandchildren, Lauren, Caitlyn and Christopher.
Services and interment will be held privately.
