Pauline Benson

Pauline Benson, age 86, of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware on July 8, 1929, Pauline was a daughter of the late William and Pauline (Thompson) Wertz.

Pauline was a devoted member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in New Castle, DE. She will be missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Paul P. Benson; son, Robert A. Benson; daughter; Sandra J. Benson; brother, William; sisters, Dottie and Ginny.

She is survived by her sons, Paul F. Benson (Elizabeth) of Townsend; Bruce W. Benson (Diane) of Bear; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2016, at The Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Internment will be held in the adjoining cemetery.
