Ruth F. Richardson - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Ruth F. Richardson

December 16, 1924 - November 21, 2018

Ada Ruth Richardson was born on December 16, 1924 in Virginia and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 21, 2018 at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clayton Richardson of 56 years and a grandson, Wayne Allen Richardson.

Ruth loved and served the Lord and her family all of her life and prayed for them without ceasing. Her life’s desire was for all of them to be saved to know the Lord like she did, as her personal Savior so she could take them all to heaven with her. Her Lord and her Bible were her closest friends, other than her children and grandchildren. She got to attend “˜Bible School’ in her later years and graduated with honors, a joy she relished.

She was surrounded by her family, children and grandchildren in her last days and hours and her daughter and daughter-in-law were holding her hands as her son Roy was standing by as she drew her last breath. She was ushered into the Almighty God’s presence to meet her Heavenly Father as well as her earthly mother and father who were waiting for her. We all wait the day when we will see “Mom Mom” again and spend eternity with her and our blessed Lord in glory, all 45 of us in her brood and still counting! We’ll see you soon “Mom Mom,” wait for us!

Ruth leaves behind quite a godly heritage of four children, Roy, Ann, William and Roger and their spouses, Donna, Roger, Monica and Darlene; 10 grandchildren behind awaiting their arrival in heaven, April, Roger II, Rebekah, Sarah-Ann, Adam, Roger, Erica, Megan, Daniel and Heather; 30 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, Joey.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Alzheimers Association, 399 Market Street, Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
