Vincent E. “Vinnie” Novello, Sr., age 56, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on January 16, 1963, he was a son of Dorothy and the late Nicholas Novello. Vincent retired from Insulator’s Local 42 after 20 years of loyal service.

He was a member of the St. Anthony’s Club in New Castle. Vincent was a devoted fan and longtime season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed playing a good game of horseshoes. Most of all, he adored time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kimberly A. (Christopher) Novello; children, Vanessa L. Carter (Charles), Vincent E. Novello, Jr. (Cecilia), Nicholas J. Novello, Sr. (Corri), and Brittany M. Hultberg (Andrew); siblings, Michelle Tolmie (Mark) and Richard Novello (Victoria); 7 grandchildren, Madison, Nicholas, Jr., Dominic, Patrick, Teagan, Enzo, and Kinsley; and his beloved sidekick, Cage.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11 am at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Rd, New Castle, DE. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vincent’s memory may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Newark, DE 19711.
