Charles L. Vied, Sr., age 67, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on January 20, 1955, he was a son of the late Charles L. and Esther M. (Dunfee) Vied. Charles worked at Hoover Controls as a machine operator. He enjoyed playing the lottery, fishing and watching the Phillies. Charles absolutely loved his faithful, canine companions.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann (Reynolds) Vied. Charles is survived by his children, Charles L. Vied, Jr., Jeanna K. McGinnis (Doug), and Joshua L. Smith; stepchildren, Enda Figueroa and Holly Johnson; siblings, Phillip S. Vied, and Patricia Lewandowski; and grandchildren, Brittany, Logan, Kirra, Chase, and Lucas.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’ name to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 600 South Street, New Castle, DE 19720.

You’ll be sadly missed cousin Charles. I’ve enjoyed chatting with him about his furbabies and his children. He would remember he and his dad going to the Indian River Inlet and fishing with my dad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
