Malinda M. “Missy” Dooley

Malinda M. “Missy” Dooley, age 47, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 31, 2021.
Born in Delaware City’s ambulance in New Castle, DE, on March 15, 1974, she was the daughter of the late Marvin R. and Sue Ann (Watts) Dooley, Sr. Missy dedicated over 20 years as a merchandiser for RMSI. She graduated from William Penn High School in 1992. Missy was an avid movie collector and owned hundreds of DVDs. She enjoyed watching the Lifetime channel and was a huge fan of the Bee Gees. Missy will always be remembered as a friend to those in need.
In addition to her parents, Missy was preceded in death by her nephew, Timmy Dooley. She is survived by her brothers, Marvin R. Dooley, Jr. (Barbara Ann) of Newark and Raymond L. Dooley of New Castle; care giver and friend, Linda McAvaney; godson, Beua Davis; and niece and nephews, Courtney Dooley, Nick Dooley, Brandon Dooley, and Todd Dooley.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the CDC and Governor of Delaware. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Missy’s memory to the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.

Marvin, Ray and family, I’m so sorry. I know to well the heart ache of loosing a sibling. I try to remember happy thoughts, like when we worked at Avon and she’d bring ugly pic of me to work and show everyone. My best memory was when she ratted to aunt Snookie. Its late. I had wondered how she had been doing but did not know how to reach her. I Am sorry for her family and friends loss. I had the biggest damn crush on her in high school in my early 20s when i was in college she told me it was mutual but i was too shy to ask her out. She was a sweetheart and you could talk to her about anything. And did she love that Colonial football.
