Ellen A. Womer, age 76, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE on November 10, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Marian (Maguigan) Klosowski. Ellen made her career as a dispatcher for Waste Management for many dedicated years.

Ellen enjoyed the beach and loved soap operas. She looked forward to traveling to Dover and Delaware Park Casino’s. More importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Although Ellen was a direct person and she made many lifelong friends.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Womer; and son, Edward Womer. She is survived by her sons, Joseph E. Womer (Sheryl), and Michael Womer (Kiera); sister, Dolores Craig (Jimmy); grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Alexis, Kylie, Alex, Little Michael, Cait, Jamie, Jack, Joey, and Emily; and lifelong friend, Paula Sharp.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will be held privately.

When she asked how are you she meant it .I’ve missed her since she left our company she was an experienced person on the waste business and always went above and beyond her duties at the work place .   • So Sorry to hear of the passing of Ellen she was an amazing funny kind-hearted genuine lady. She went to bat for all of us drivers (H&H / WM) if there’s anything she could do to help us you could count on her. God bless her and her family so many fond memories too many to say but one I need everyone to know 🥲 every Christmas she would have a present for my two daughter it was small but it was the thought! We weren’t that far apart in age but I loved her like I loved my Mom. We stayed in contact I retired about 8 years ago and she just text me two weeks ago I will miss her dearly,Love You Girlfriend ❤️
