Alice Irene Oxendine, age 73, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Born in Baltimore, MD on February 12, 1949, she was the daughter of the late William Andrew and Alice Irene (Robinson) Cook. Alice worked at Aberdeen Diner for many dedicated years.

You could always catch her cheering on her favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens.  She was very independent and a huge animal lover, especially cats. She is survived by her husband, Leon Oxendine, Sr.; children, Melissa Koria, Tommy Oxendine, Sr., Bridgette Flores, James Matthew Edgell, Sandra Barton, Jerry Oxendine, Sr., Michelle Peet, Michael Oxendine, and Leon Oxendine, Jr.; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes to offset funeral expenses.
