Sharon A. Gant
June 6, 1943 - September 9, 2025
Sharon A. Gant, age 82, of Townsend, DE, passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Born in Salem, NJ on June 6, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Phyllis Meyers. Sharon made her career as a beautician and the owner of Delaware Beauty Salon in Wilmington.
In her free time, Sharon could often be found doing ceramics or working on a puzzle. She also enjoyed challenging her loved ones to a card game. Sharon was a member of the Middletown Moose and VFW. She always looked forward to traveling to new places. Most of all, Sharon will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
The Gant family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff, especially Floretta Belle, at Cadia Broadmeadow.
In addition to her mother, Sharon was preceded in death by her siblings, Ephrum Bell, Norma Bell, Thomas Bell, and Jackie Dodd. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Francis W. Gant, Sr.; children, Francis Gant, Jr. of Middletown, Theresa Wolfer (Kenny) of Wildwood, NJ, Sharon Wardrop (Jerry) of Townsend, Patricia Gant of Middletown, Edward Gant (Nancy) of Middletown, and Phyllis Birch (Greg) of Middletown; sisters, Phyllis Neeves (Bob) of Newark, Kathy Mahoney of Pennsville, NJ, and Beverly Beck of Coco Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 12 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.

I took care of Mrs. Gant on several occasions while working at Broadmeadow Cadia nursing home, and let me tell you, she had a tight grip and was not going to let anyone do harm to her.
