Lloyd W. Kline
September 26, 1931 - March 31, 2016
Lloyd W. Kline, Newark, DE, died March 31, 2016, after a long treatment for lymphoma.
He taught high school English for thirteen years, first in Pennsylvania, then in Delaware. Later career paths followed in writing, editing, and publishing until his retirement in 1996.
Lloyd held bachelor and master degrees in English from Franklin and Marshall College and the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College, and a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts.
A native of Lancaster County, Lloyd was the son of Lloyd and Daisy Warfel Kline. He is survived by two sisters, Vivian K. Spiese, Conestoga, PA, and Evelyn K. Rodkey, Columbia, PA; by his wife, Alison W. Macindoe, Newark, DE and their two daughters, Peri and Cailey Macindoe; by his former wife, Regina V. Kline, Landenberg, PA, and their two children, Jennifer K. Zieger, Coatesville, PA, and Jeffrey Kline, Corvallis, OR; by Jennifer’s companion, Brian Frankowsky, and by her sons, Zachary, Kyle, and Jacob Zieger; and by Jeffrey’s companion, Laurie Houston, and their son Ellis in Corvallis.
Friends may drop in for a celebration of his life that will be held at his residence on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
Lloyd considered himself fortunate in friends and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to your own favorite charity or cause.
