Albert Ronald “Al” Travaille

Albert Ronald “Al” Travaille, age 81, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
Born in Passaic, NJ, on May 1, 1943, he was a son of the late Jasper and Lottie (May) Travaille. Al proudly served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division, National Guard and Air Force Reserve. He retired as a mechanical engineering technician from Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, after 32 years of service.
Al loved to travel the world with his wife, Virginia. He especially enjoyed cruises. Al was a model train enthusiast and an avid Elvis Presley fan. More than anything else, he treasured quality time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Travaille, Enis Tecchio and Ronald Travaille. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia C. Travaille; children, Shannon Keith (Brian) and Jason Travaille (Madelaine); brother, Daniel Travaille; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole), Timothy (Amanda), Lillian, Valentine, Lily and Noah; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Eloise Mae.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 noon until 2 pm on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
