Alexander “Buddy” Robinson

Alexander Buddy Robinson, age 71, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
A native Delawarean, Buddy was born in Wilmington on November 19, 1944, and was a son of the late James F. Robinson, Jr. and Eleanor (Lynch) Robinson. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. A skilled mechanic by trade, Buddy worked for a number of different auto repair companies throughout the area. He later accepted a position as an equipment operator with DelDOT, retiring after many years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scott. Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne (Confer) Robinson; daughters, Holly Wooters (Elwood) and Lisa Barrett (fiancé, James Bingham); brothers, James Robinson III (Darline) and Michael Robinson (Cindy); sisters, Linda Hudgins, Ellen Stevens (Jim) and Kimberly Otter (Lawrence); grandchildren, Kayla, Kristina, Genie, Kathryn, Kaleb, Douglas, Kyle, Sean and Ashley; great grandchildren, Kyle, Jr. and Brianna; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Friday afternoon, June 3, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 pm until 4 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Buddy’s memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Delaware Chapter, 2 Mill Road, Ste. 106, Wilmington, DE 19806.
