Alice Marie Miller

Alice Marie Miller, age 52, of Delaware City, DE, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, DE on February 6, 1968, she was a daughter of Carolyn (Dinsmore) Miller and the late James E. Miller. Alice worked as a supervisor at First Data Corp. for 28 years. She enjoyed playing softball and was one of the first female baseball little league members. She was strong in her faith and she loved going to church. Every Thanksgiving Alice looked forward to serving meals to the homeless. She enjoyed bowling and fundraising for Bowl for Kids. Alice loved going to the beach, eating crabs, seafood and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her father, Alice was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Alice Dinsmore; sister, Linda J. Watson; aunt, Charlotte McCormick; and her beloved 4-legged companion, Sammy. She is survived by her daughter, Shalyn Elizabeth Johnson; sisters, Susan Nemetz (Bill), Pat Michael (Jim) and Peggy Miller (Buff); brother in law, Paul Watson. Granddaughter, Mayson Evelyn Cole; nephew, Robert Keith Miller (Fran); nieces, Ericka Watson and Erin Miller; great niece, Lilly Miller; and great nephew, Colin Mettle.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice’s memory to a church of your choice.
