Andrea A. Stone

Andrea A. Stone, age 59, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 12, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Ann (Zimmer) Marusyn.  Andrea was a receptionist in the healthcare field for several dedicated years.

An animal lover, Andrea loved training dogs.  She was a member of Cornerstone Church and attended AA.  Above all she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Roswell G. Stone; son, Jeremiah Stone (Dawn) of Townsend; step children, Andrew Buchanan (Dawn) of New Castle and Brenda Buchanan of Wilmington; sisters, Carol Dixon of Lincoln University, PA and Diane Hyman (Sam) of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Antonio and Cierra; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather from 5pm until 6 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a celebration of life will be held at 6 pm.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andrea’s name to Disabled American Veterans, 1601 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19805.
