Annamae worked as a customer service representative for Sears Service Center in Stanton for 17 years until her retirement in 1986. Annamae was a proud member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1418, where she served as a senior regent. She enjoyed puzzle books and taking care of her pets. Annamae was a talented seamstress, and created an array of her own custom clothing. Above all, she loved playing with her grandchildren and attending family gatherings.

In addition to her parents, Annamae was preceded in death by her husband, Haldeman J. “Mike” Horack. She is survived by her children, David Horack (Pamela) of New Castle and Gerald Horack (Debbie) of PA; grandchildren, Timothy Horack, Christi Betts (Kevin) and Lindsay Horack; great grandchildren, Angelina, Savannah, Lydia and Luke; and siblings, Josephine Arner and Rena Merkel.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Face masks will be required for everyone in attendance. Services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annamae’s memory to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077.

We lost an amazing woman today! Mommom you were one spunky, stubborn (in a good way), loving, kind, funny, a heck of a strong woman. You brought a smile to everyone’s face. You loved your family especially your great grandkids. We will celebrate your life and that you are with Jesus. You will forever be missed and will remain in our hearts until we meet again one day.

If you had gotten the chance to meet her, she had many stories to tell, and no one left the house hungry. She absolutely loved us all and we loved her back. Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts. Mommom is now in heaven with a new body happier than ever.
