Anne Chirco Toner
July 29, 1923 - May 23, 2016
Anne C. Toner, age 92, of New Castle, DE, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Anne was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 29, 1923, and was a daughter of the late Martin P. and Jennie J. Chirco. She married Joseph T. Toner, Jr. on April 15, 1961 and they remained a devoted couple until his death in February of 2016.
Anne was a graduate of William Penn High School in New Castle. She continued on to successfully complete many additional secretarial courses. As a teenager, Anne began her employment at Bellanca Aircraft Corp in New Castle, progressing through the secretarial ranks. After Bellanca was purchased by Piasecki Helicopters, she continued her employment with the company until they closed their New Castle facility. Anne would later accept a position as secretary to the plant manager, as well as personnel coordinator for RCA Flight Laboratory located at the New Castle Airport. She opted not to relocate when RCA moved their corporate headquarters in New Jersey and instead accepted employment with All American Engineering where she worked as a personnel secretary for many years.
Anne is survived by her sisters, Josephine Kolasinski, Roz Pucylowski and Jean Andress, all of New Castle, DE, Niki Petro of Middletown, DE and Elaine Ford (Jim) of Dover, DE; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Millcroft Senior Living staff for their professionalism, attention and compassionate care of Anne during her stay there.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday morning, May 27, 2016, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, Garfield Park, New Castle, DE 19720, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne’s memory may be made to Holy Spirit R.C. Church, at the address listed above.

I would like to offer my condolences to the entire family. During this difficult time I found these few Bible verses to be of comfort myself, I hope they will be of comfort to the Family and close friends. Psalms 83:18 also 2Corinthians 1:3,9…
