Mrs. Annie M. Frock, age 89, of Claymont, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Mrs. Frock was born in Newark, DE, on April 2, 1922, daughter of the late Nathaniel T. Knox and Annie Louise Dear Knox. A talented homemaker throughout her life, she enjoyed planting a beautiful garden around her home each year, as well as canning, cooking, and baking. She especially delighted in spending time with her beloved family.
In earlier years, Mrs. Frock was employed with Acme Markets, where she retired. As a teenager, she enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and going dancing with friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Frock, sister, Margaret Bolton, a grandson and a great grandson. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Stewart, son-in-law, Leland “Lanny” Aiken, and sister, Pearl J. Faulkner. Mrs. Frock is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on her birthday, Monday, April 2, 2012, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
