August P. “Augie” Kettner, Jr., age 84 , of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord, with his loving wife by his side, on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on April 11, 1937, he was a son of the late August P. and Novella Kettner, Sr. Augie will be remembered as the most kindest man.
Augie is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Wanda J. Kettner; 6 daughters; sister, Clara Zickgraf; and 19 grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine. Interment will be held in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

You have definitely earned your wings with the great care & dignity you gave your husband. You did it your way & I am so proud of you. He loved his family so very much. In all the years of us being friends (over 33 years). I never ever heard him say one negative comment about anyone, & always had a kind word. You were very lucky to have a one of a kind manike Augie.
