Barbara “Bobbi” (Fanning) Narwold, age 73, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

Born in Aberdeen, MD on May 28, 1950, she was a daughter of the late William James and Lillian Blanch (Jurenka) Fanning. Bobbi was a graduate of Christiana High School and University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. After U of D, she started her career working as an assistant to an architect before working as legal assistant at Richards, Layton & Finger in the early 1970’s. Bobbi had many enjoyable travels, whether she was visiting the beach, going across the United States, or internationally with her college friends Alice, Marty and Lilly or other friends and family. She had a passion for music and concerts, especially the Moody Blues who she saw numerous times, and treasured her friendship with Justin Hayward. Bobbi enjoyed gardening and creating delicious vegetarian dishes. She will always be remembered as having an open ear, an open heart, a shoulder to lean on, and a smile on her face.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Chris Narwold; daughter, Lea Narwold; brother, Robert W.
