Barbara S. “Bobbie” John, age 74, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
Born in Virginia, on February 10, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Bernie (Street) Steele. Bobbie worked for Wilmington Trust in the clerical department for more than 20 years and later worked for Brooks Armored Car. Dedicated to her faith, she was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her bible. Bobbie loved her family and especially taking care of her son, Mason.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel John; sons, Mason John and Jason John; and brother, Billy Joe Steele. Bobbie is survived by her niece, Kim Pensel (Daniel) of Middletown; nephew, Billy Steele of Middletown; great niece, Elizabeth; and great nephew, Zach.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 21, 2019, in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
