“Betty” Elizabeth Reusch Jackson

Mrs. “Betty” Elizabeth Reusch Jackson, age 88, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Betty was born in Montchanin on September 15, 1923, daughter of the late William T. Reusch and Mabel M. Loftland Reusch. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Wharton Business School and was employed with Kraft Foods for 29 1/2 years before her retirement in 1989.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Philip Garrett Jackson in February 1999, by her son, “Gary” Philip G. Jackson, Jr. in January 1998, and by a brother, Willard A. Reusch. She is survived by her grandson, Matthew G. Jackson of Bear; stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Dryer and Paul Hess III; brother, William T. Reusch of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 23, 2012, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
