Mrs. Betty Z. Anderson, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011.
Born in Saxton, PA, on July 6, 1926, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Ira and Florence Peters. She was a talented homemaker and delighted in caring for her family and her home throughout her life. She had a particular gift for growing and arranging beautiful flowers.
In her leisure hours, she looked forward to traveling, especially to Lancaster County, PA, where she greatly enjoyed the scenery and the lifestyle of the local people. She also enjoyed dining out with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Debbie Anderson and Tammy Anderson, six brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Walter M. Anderson, Jr.; children, Kevin Anderson (Karen), Walt Anderson III, Patricia Kay Barczak (John), James Burget (Eileen), and Gary Kauffman (Marsha); sister, Donna Rainey; twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her beloved pet Jack Russell terrier, Muffy.
The funeral service and interment will be held privately.
