Blanche Yvonne Wegman, age 77, of Bear, DE, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018.

Blanche made her career as a computer technician in the billing department at Union Hospital in Elkton, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service.

Active in her community, she was a life member of Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Fire Company Ladies Auxillary and the Christiana United Methodist Church. Blanche enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Richard “Dick” Wegman, Sr. and brother, James Larrel Price. Blanche is survived by her son, W. Richard “Dicky” Wegman, Jr.; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 7 pm on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 7 pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Blanche’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Dept. 41831, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
