Mrs. Bobbie Scott-Schurbon, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, while surrounded by her family, on Monday, December 17, 2012.
Bobbie was born in Allentown, PA on September 7, 1946. She was employed by AstraZeneca as an administrative assistant, where she worked for many years before her retirement. Bobbie was a gifted homemaker, who enjoyed creating a warm and welcoming place for loved ones to visit. She treasured her friendships, and was delighted when she was able to spend time with those close to her, playing games or chatting over lunch. Bobbie was well known for her love of all things feline. She adored her pet cats, and also happily cared for the many strays who wandered into her yard.
Bobbie is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Schurbon; mother, Antoinette Lesco, of Fountain Hill, PA; stepson, Jeremy Schurbon, of Bear, DE; and stepdaughter, Angela K. Doan, of Middletown, DE.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends and family may call from 1 pm until 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bobbie’s name be made to the Delaware SPCA., 455 Stanton-Christiana Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
