Brian James Bergeron

October 16, 1974 - November 2, 2024

Brian James Bergeron, age 50, of Smyrna, DE, passed away at home on Saturday, November 2nd.

Born in Wilmington, on October 16, 1974, he was the youngest son of the late Edward and Linda Bergeron. Brian attended Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School, where he was an active member of the wrestling team. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball and football in the MOT area leagues. Before retiring, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 313.

He spent much of his time enjoying the outdoors as an avid sportsman, hunter, and fisherman. Many happy hours were spent on his boat and in the woods of Southern New Castle County, Delaware. For Brian, there were only two seasons, hunting season or fishing season, and they occasionally overlapped.

Brian was a much loved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His greatest joy was his children, Madison and Cole Bergeron. They spent hours together fishing, hunting, and watching scary movies.

In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Bergeron. He is survived by his sister, Suzanne “Shelley” Olski (Joe), and his children, Madison and Cole Bergeron.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11:00 on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.
