Charles Newell Price

Charles Newell Price, age 83, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
Born in Principie, MD on April 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy Price. Charles proudly served his country as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army. He made his lifetime career as a painter with Allied Trades Local Union 2011. In his earlier years, he enjoyed trap shooting. Charles liked sports, especially baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Syvy) Price; children, Colleen Baiocco (Peter) and Thomas Casey (Michele); grandchildren, Peter, Thomas and Lindsay Baiocco and Kyle and Alyssa Casey; and great grandson, Thomas D. Baiocco.
A committal service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dottie, Colleen, Tommy and families. It breaks my heart that Newell has passed. He always held a special place in my heart and I loved him dearly. I know these past years have been difficult with his health issues and Dottie has done a wonderful job taking care of him. I have many fond memories of spending time with him and Dottie through out my younger years. The both of them were always very good to me. He will be sadly missed and I am so glad that I had time to visit with him this past October.
