9 Condolences for Charles R. Reedy

  • I am sorry to hear of your loss . Reedy was a great mentor for me when I started bee keeping in 2010 . I will always remember April 14, 2012 , Reedy called me in the late morning . He needed a hand to catch a swarm of bees in his backyard . Problem was they were up a spruce tree about 18 feet ! He said he needed me to hold the ladder . When I got over there he had the ladder set up and a old table cloth laid out with the bee box . I offered to climb the ladder but he wouldn’t hear of it . He scrambled up the ladder , cut the branch the bees were on , and came on down and shook the bees right in the box . Success !
