Christina Lynn "Tina" (Holderbaum) Aiarouw - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Christina Lynn “Tina” (Holderbaum) Aiarouw

May 19, 1974 - October 8, 2021

Christina Lynn “Tina” (Holderbaum) Aiarouw, age 47, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE on May 19, 1974, Tina was a daughter of Larry G. and Geraldine L. (Dougherty) Holderbaum.  She was a very determined and incredibly strong woman. A fraud detection analyst for Bank of America, Tina still had the strength to raise 3 kids on her own, all while going to school for her culinary arts degree. As a teen, Tina had multiple talents, one being her passion of volleyball. She was a champion on the court and a blessing off.

Growing up, Tina had to make a decision to take care of her family or pursue her passion. She decided that her family was the most important thing. As her kids were growing up, Tina took her children’s best friends and held them dear to her heart as her own.

In addition to her parents, Tina is survived by her children, James Weakland, Gabrielle Slaughter, and Justin Slaughter; siblings, Fred Baldwin and Angela Dawn Simpson (Ed); and niece and nephews, Cheyanne Hamming, Chad Hamming, and Austin Simpson. They will carry on her spirit with each passing moment.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the funeral home. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online by clicking here.

  • I am so sorry for everyone that lost my sweet cousin. She was so strong and she always put love first. We were only a couple weeks apart in age and my entire childhood is filled with great memories of us having fun, and being silly girls, and her compassion and especially her smile. It’s such a tragic loss for all the many people that loved her and that she loved back without conditions. It won’t be the same without her, but she is alive in so many people’s hearts.

  • Dear Holderbaum Family,

    Love to all,
    Lee and Joan
