Christine Yarnall
November 4, 1929 - April 24, 2024
Christine Yarnall, age 94, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Born in Wilmington, DE on November 4, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Pauline (Karczewski) Kwiatkowski. Christine dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker.
A woman of faith, Christine was a devoted member of Holy Spirit R.C. Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Christine had a knack for designing gorgeous flower arrangements and Christmas wreaths. She loved going on camping trips and traveling to new places. Christine was an active participant in the Women’s League Bowling. In her younger years, she enjoyed going skating which is how she met her husband, Mac.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, William M. “Mac” Yarnall; son, Wayne Yarnall; granddaughter, Kylie Yarnall; brothers, Walter Kwiatkowski and Frankie Kwiatkowski; sisters, Bernice Clymer, Frances Griffith, Helen Conner, and Rose Jones; and daughters-in-law, Lynn Yarnall and Kristie Yarnall. She is survived by her children, William Yarnall (Elizabeth) and Jerry Yarnall; brother, Thomas Kwiatkowski (Ann); 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The Yarnall family would like to extend a special thank you to AccentCare Hospice; her nurse, Christine; aide, Dawn; friend, Barbara; and niece, Kathleen, for the compassion and care they provided Christine.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, New Castle, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. A committal service will begin at 10 am on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
