Christopher Thomas “Chris” Calhoun
February 2, 1988 - January 31, 2022
Christopher Thomas “Chris” Calhoun, age 33, of Newark, DE, succumbed to the effects of COVID on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Born in Newark, DE on February 2, 1988, he was a son of Arlene M. (Berni) Calhoun and the late Theodore R. Calhoun, Jr. Chris loved working at WEB Construction as the owner is a long-time friend.
Chris enjoyed long rides on his Harley, target shooting with his friends, and playing with his son. To wind down from work or to work through a problem, he enjoyed playing video games or continued to teach himself how to play the guitar. He also enjoyed quiet time with his dogs. Chris is remembered by his friends as kind hearted, generous, and quick with a smile. He will be dearly missed by all who know him.
In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Melissa; 4-year-old son, Colt; mother, Arlene Calhoun; sister, Jennifer Clark; and grandmother, Lou Berni.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris’ memory to Christiana Care’s Intensive Care Unit, 4000 Nexus Drive, Ste. W3-300, Wilmington, DE 19803.
