Clifford T. “Cliff” Early

Clifford T. “Cliff” Early, age 93, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Born in Plymouth, PA, on May 29, 1928, Cliff was a son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Carpenter) Early. He worked as a lab technician for DuPont for 30 years, retiring in 1986. After his retirement, he and his wife split time between his home in Millsboro and Hollywood, FL. Strong in his faith, Cliff was a member of Mary, Mother of Peace Parish in Millsboro, and was formerly a member of Holy Family Parish. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and enjoying a cold beer with family and friends.  He especially looked forward to visits with his children, grandchildren, and recently with his great grandchildren.  

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; and daughter, Diane D. Moore. Cliff is survived by his children, Kathleen A. Royle (Kendall) of Georgetown and Clifford T. Early, Jr. (Bridgette) of Millsboro; son-in-law, Donald Moore of Newark; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 am. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

  • I saw this name and my mind wondered back. So sorry for family in this time of sadness.

  • I am so sorry to hear of your father’s death. Both of your parents were such nice people. They are together once again and your dear sister, Diane, is with them too. My parents were Steve and Cecilia Kramarck and had a mobile home at 238 Sassafras Road, behind your parent’s home. My son, Chuck Dougherty, now has it. You all have wonderful memories of your parents and I know you’re going to treasure those memories. You were blessed with loving parents. May God comfort you. Jackie Murphy
