Craig Newnam Assimos
July 21, 1960 - January 25, 2017
Craig Newnam Assimos, age 56, of North East, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
Craig was born in Wilmington, DE on July 21, 1960, and was the son of Charles Assimos and Evva Slaughter Newnam Assimos-McGrath. After 35 years of dedicated service, he retired in 2016 from PSEG Nuclear Center.
In his leisure time, Craig enjoyed traveling with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by many.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Polina M. (Isopenko) Assimos; mother and step father, Evva Assimos-McGrath and Ralph McGrath; children, Tanner, Brooke and Dylan Assimos; brothers, Charles and Gary Assimos; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Monday afternoon, January 30, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will be held at at 3 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 5028, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028.
