Curtis B. Tabor, Jr.

October 10, 1954 - February 4, 2019

Curtis B. Tabor, Jr., age 64 of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2019.

Born on October 10, 1954 in Wilmington, DE, he was a son of the late Margaret (Pressley) Tabor and Curtis B. Tabor, Sr.

A lifelong resident of New Castle County, Curtis worked for several apartment complexes as a maintenance supervisor in the surrounding area.

In his spare time, “Uncle Bear” as he was affectionately known, was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed working on motorcycles and especially riding them. When not tinkering on motorcycles, he had a passion for working on cars. As an avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed watching and attending races with his family and friends. A man of many talents, Curtis enjoyed playing country music on his guitar. He will always be remembered for his gift of being a great listener. Of all the joys and passions Curtis possessed, nothing compared to the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda, in 2017. He leaves many fond memories to his three sons, Fred Roy Tabor and Charlie B. Tabor both of Virginia and Steven R. Tabor of Wilmington; two daughters, Kimberly A. Hill (Michael) of Newark and April M. Tabor of New Castle; three brothers, Gary G. Tabor (Connie) of Wilmington, Larry D. Tabor (Joyce) of New Castle and Keith D. Tabor (Carol) of Georgetown and a sister, Gwen Omstead of Florida; eleven loving grandchildren, Reece, Xavier, Jayda, Baylea, Jaxon, Garrett, Casey, Dylan, Logan, Benjamin, and Chance; and his caretaker and sister-in-law, Susan George.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 until 11:00 am, Friday morning, February 15, 2019 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
