Cynthia A. Boehm

Born: 1/20/1966
Died: 2/20/2013

Mrs. Cynthia A. Boehm, age 47, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Cynthia was born in Wilmington on January 20, 1966, and was a 1984 graduate of Padua High School. She would go on to receive both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Delaware and embark on what would be her life’s work–attending to the needs of those many people fortunate enough to experience her loving care. As a school psychologist for the Red Clay Consolidated School District, Cynthia touched the lives of many children in need. As a Delaware Hospice volunteer, she helped ease the fears of patients and their families. And as a Suicide Prevention Hotline volunteer, she counseled deeply troubled people and helped them to find renewed hope and purpose in their lives. Cynthia was a devout Catholic throughout her life and an active member of Holy Family parish, where she also generously offered her expertise assisting in the church’s religious education program for children.
Most recently, her passion for nurturing the human spirit led her to accept a position as a beauty consultant with the Mary Kay Corporation.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 12 years, Steven F. Boehm; children, Andrew, Christina, and Christian Boehm; parents, Nicoleta Douvres Noto and Anthony W. Noto, Jr. of Trinity, FL; brother, Anthony W. Noto III and wife Danielle of Middletown; and many loving extended family members and close friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 26th, at Holy Family R.C. Church, E. Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Boehm Children’s Education Fund, c/o Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711.
