Ms. Cynthia Lee Henderson, age 53, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
Ms. Henderson was a native Delawarean, born in Wilmington on June 19, 1959. She devoted her life to caring for her beloved family, delighting especially in the company of her precious grandchildren. Her love of life will remain a lasting and treasured legacy for her family and her many friends.
In her leisure hours, Ms. Henderson greatly enjoyed trips to the beach. Her favorite inspirational symbol was the classic “smiley face.”
She is survived by her son, Matthew E. Henderson (Kathleen) of Newark; daughter, Heather N. Henderson (Aaron Adams) of Newark; mother, Lillie Watson Villanueva of Newark; father, Roland A. LaPointe of Newark; sister, Charlotte Dubil of Middletown; and grandchildren, Matthew T. Henderson, McKenzie M. Henderson, AJ K. Adams, and Aarik K. Adams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
