Mr. Daniel A. “Dan” Fritz, age 37, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
Born in Abington, PA, on January 17, 1975, Dan was 1993 graduate of LaSalle College High School in Cheltenham, PA. He would go on to earn his bachelor’s degree in 1997 from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Dan had been employed with Bank of America for the past 15 years and formerly held the position of senior vice president.
A gifted athlete from his youth, Dan was a standout pitcher for LaSalle University in Division I college baseball. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan throughout his life. He also loved animals and was devoted to his beloved pet dogs, Natalie and Kelso.
Dan is survived by his mother, Margaret Raslavich of Newark; father and stepmother, James J. and Elizabeth M. Fritz of Harvey Cedars, NJ; sister, Laura M. Grenda and her husband Chet of New Orleans, LA; nephew, Gavin Grenda; and niece, Anya Grenda.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where visitation will begin at 9 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dan may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702 B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
