Daniel James “Dan” Bull, Sr.

Daniel James “Dan” Bull, Sr., age 38, of Bear, DE, passed on Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Born in Oakland, CA, on February 11, 1984, he was a son of Curtis L. and Sharon (Dail) Bull. Dan graduated in 2002 from Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School in auto mechanics. He was a dedicated employee at Home Depot, Wilmington. Dan loved to work on cars and small machinery. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing.

Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel James Dail, Jr. of Cambridge, and Curtis and Quinnell Bull of Alabama. In addition to his loving parents, Dan is survived by his mom-mom, Shirley Dail of Cambridge; older brother, Erich, wife Amy and their children, Ava, Theo, Spencer, and Jeanette of San Antonio, TX; sister, Jaime Bull, her son JT and boyfriend Jaime Marine of Seaford, DE; daughters, Camryn Bull (Lynn) of Elkton, MD and Victoria Bull of Wilmington, DE; aunts, Patricia Portera of Louisiana and Carol Beasley (Claude) of Alabama; cousins, Robin Heath and family in Georgia, Blaine Heath and family in Louisiana, Jeffrey and Dent Beasley of Alabama; partner, Kelly Grubb; and newborn twins, Daniel James, Jr. and Brooklyn Monroe of Wilmington, DE.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be held privately.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I met Dan while I was at the Limenhouse. He brought laughter every time he entered the room and we needed that. It was a pleasure to go through that journey with him. Even after completion we kept in touch. I considered my brother. My heart is saddened for the family and Kelly. He will be missed.
